On June 5, 2025 Laxmipati Group of Institutions celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm. The theme for this year's celebration was "Beat Plastic Pollution."
Awareness Program
As part of the celebrations, an awareness program was organized at our institution. Mr. Ramratan Simaraiya, a scientist from EPCO, delivered a guest lecture on crucial environmental topics, including:
- Plantation: Importance of planting trees and their role in maintaining ecological balance.
- Environmental Degradation*: Causes and consequences of environmental degradation.
- Plastic Pollution: Impact of plastic pollution on the environment and ways to mitigate it.
- Seed Balls: Benefits of seed balls in promoting greenery.
- 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)*: Importance of adopting sustainable practices.
Sapling Plantation Drive
Following the awareness program, a sapling plantation drive was organized in nearby Jamuniya village. Staff and students actively participated in the initiative, planting saplings and promoting environmental sustainability. Additionally, trees were also planted within our college campus.
This event not only raised awareness about environmental issues but also encouraged collective action towards a greener future. We are grateful to Mr. Ramratan Simaraiya for sharing his expertise and to everyone who participated in making this event a success.We look forward to continuing our efforts in promoting environmental sustainability and reducing plastic pollution in our community.
